Public safety has moved to the fore of late. Last year we noticed an increase in car break-ins, and this year, violent crimes in our downtown area. I volunteer with the Police Department every week, so I know, first hand, the issues that the City is facing.

To enhance our safety, I will: 

​

• Work to make sure we can attract and retain high-quality first responders;

• Fight for a zero-tolerance policy, especially regarding our downtown area;

• Ensure we continue to prioritize community policing.
